Softball Recap: Tuscarawas Valley's Undefeated Season over After 19 Games

Tuscarawas Valley fell victim to Sandy Valley and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cardinals. Having soared to a lofty 21 runs in the game before, the Trojans' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Tuscarawas Valley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyra Garbrandt, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Having lost for the first time this season, Tuscarawas Valley fell to 18-1. As for Sandy Valley, their record is now 11-6-1.

Coming up, Tuscarawas Valley will face off against Carrollton at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The timing is sure in the Trojans' favor as the team sits on 11 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while the Warriors have been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road. As for Sandy Valley, they will take on River View at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Cardinals are facing the Black Bears at the right time seeing as the Black Bears are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
