Libby and Ronan are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2015, but not for long. The Loggers are taking a road trip to face off against the Chiefs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Libby is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Bigfork on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Loggers were dealt a 46-9 loss at the hands of the Vikings & Valkyries. The defeat continues a trend for the Loggers in their meetings with the Vikings & Valkyries: they've now lost five in a row.

Meanwhile, Ronan fell victim to Columbia Falls and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a blow against the Wildcats, falling 54-0. While losing is never fun, the Chiefs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Montana football rankings (they are ranked 66th, while the Wildcats are ranked 12th).

Ronan's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Libby, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Libby couldn't quite finish off Ronan in their previous matchup back in September of 2024 and fell 22-19. Can the Loggers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
