Basketball Recap: Holy Name Green Wave vs. Lake Catholic Cougars
Holy Name was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They took an 80-68 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lake Catholic Cougars. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (65), the Green Wave still had to take the loss.
Cross Nimmo was a one-man wrecking crew for Lake Catholic as he dropped a double-double on 21 points and 13 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Webb, who went 7 of 14 on his way to 19 points and five boards.
Holy Name's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Lake Catholic, they pushed their record up to 1-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.
Holy Name and Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on December 20th. As for Lake Catholic, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 76-46 win against Wickliffe on the 14th.
