Bates Came Up Big in Garfield's 40-0 Win

Starting off the list is Garfield's Devin Bates, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Bates rushed for 120 yards and two touchdowns. Those 120 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Crestview picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Maxwell Hawkins. Hawkins turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 129 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries. He is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last seven games he's played dating back to last season.

Champion had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Hawkins it was a similar story. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Hawkins saw the Golden Flashes), he rushed for 206 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.6 yards per carry.

Jake Noling and Co. Win Seventh in a Row

Jake Noling was instrumental in extending Crestview's winning streak to seven on Friday. Noling turned in nothing short of a gem, throwing for 101 yards and two touchdowns on perfect 8-for-8 passing, while also rushing for 82 yards on only six carries.

This season, Noling has thrown 8 touchdowns while averaging 78.4 passing yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after eight games last season, he was only averaging 7.18 passer rating per game. This year he is averaging 118.9 passer rating.
