Volleyball Game Preview: Boyer Valley Bulldogs vs. Coon Rapids-Bayard Crusaders

The Boyer Valley Bulldogs will venture away from home to square off against the Coon Rapids-Bayard Crusaders at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, it was close, but Boyer Valley sidestepped CAM for a 3-2 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Boyer Valley wouldn't go down easily and took CAM into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-22, 21-25, 25-22, 15-11.

Ava Klinker and Harper Christiansen were among the main playmakers for Boyer Valley as the former had 44 assists and 11 digs and the latter had 15 digs. That's the most assists Klinker has posted over her last eight matchups.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Coon Rapids-Bayard and Paton-Churdan had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Crusaders were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Rockets on Thursday. The Crusaders haven't had any issues with the Rockets recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Boyer Valley's record is now 15-13. As for Coon Rapids-Bayard, their record now sits at 17-2.

Boyer Valley couldn't quite get it done against Coon Rapids-Bayard in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
