The River View Black Bears will head out on the road to square off against the Heath Bulldogs at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. River View will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Last Thursday, River View made easy work of Tri-Valley and carried off a 3-0 win.
River View was especially dominant in the second set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-12, 25-21.

River View's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Lindyn Fry, who had 21 digs and three assists, and Kelsie Smith, who hit 100% for five kills and 17 digs and three aces. Smith is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 16 or more in each of the last 43 games she's played dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, Heath hadn't done well against Granville recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Bulldogs walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Blue Aces.
Heath had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 16-25, 25-15, 25-20, 25-22.
River View better keep an eye on Adrianne Pethtel. She was instrumental in Heath's win, getting 13 digs and five assists. That's the most assists Pethtel has posted over her last seven matchups.
River View's record is now 14-3. As for Heath, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Saturday's match: River View has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 10.8 aces per game. However, it's not like Heath struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.3 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
River View came up short against Heath in their previous matchup back in August of 2019, falling 2-0. Can the Black Bears avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
