Monroe had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 goals) and they went ahead and made it ten on Saturday. They came out on top against the Lynnwood Royals by a score of 3-1. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Monroe's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 19th, while Lynnwood are ranked 137th).

Monroe pushed their record up to 15-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 24 goals over those five games. As for Lynnwood, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-11-1 record.
