Volleyball Recap: Harker Takes a Loss

If Harker was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Notre Dame on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles fell 3-1 to the Sacred Heart Prep Gators on Thursday. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Gators recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

While Harker ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 17-25, 25-17, 25-23.

Elie Ahluwalia paced Harker's offense, picking up 19 kills. Ahluwalia got some help from Keira Chang and her 34 assists. Ahluwalia was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Peyton Fu-Sarosa was nothing short of spectacular for Sacred Heart Prep: she had 27 digs and four assists.

Harker's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Sacred Heart Prep, their victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-6.

Harker didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Mercy on the 21st. As for Sacred Heart Prep, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Crystal Springs Uplands on the 21st.
