Softball Recap: Sweet Springs Wins Going Away Against St. Paul Lutheran

Sweet Springs got themselves on the board against St. Paul Lutheran on Friday, but St. Paul Lutheran never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 17-0 margin over the Saints. Considering the Greyhounds have won four matchups by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Sweet Springs is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. St. Paul Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sweet Springs is headed away from home for the first time to challenge Lone Jack at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for St. Paul Lutheran, they will head out to square off against Wellington-Napoleon at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. St. Paul Lutheran will need to watch out since Wellington-Napoleon has now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.
