Volleyball Game Preview: George Jenkins Eagles vs. Mater Brighton Lakes Academy Broncos

The George Jenkins Eagles will face off against the Mater Brighton Lakes Academy Broncos at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (George Jenkins has 17 straight victories, Mater Brighton Lakes Academy has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

George Jenkins barely beat Kathleen the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Red Devils on Tuesday.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant George Jenkins was: they took every set by at least 13 points. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-10, 25-7.

Meanwhile, Mater Brighton Lakes Academy lost 3-0 to Cornerstone Charter Academy on Thursday.

Mater Brighton Lakes Academy was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-14, 25-20.

Mater Brighton Lakes Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for George Jenkins, their win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-0.
