Nash Central falls short of Clinton in the playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Nash Central Bulldogs can now relate to. They were the victim of a rough 55-32 loss at the hands of the Dark Horses on Friday. Nash Central's loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

When it comes to explaining why Nash Central lost, one person who can't be blamed is James Rodgers. Despite the final result, he rushed for 207 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.9 yards per carry. Rodgers is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Javaris Jones, who rushed for 84 yards and a touchdown.

Nash Central's defeat dropped their record down to 11-3. As for Clinton, they have yet to lose a match at home this season, leaving them with a 14-0 record.

Nash Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Clinton will face off against Northeastern at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Northeastern will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
