Softball Game Preview: Bishop Garrigan Golden Bears vs. North Iowa Bison

Bishop Garrigan is 9-1 against North Iowa since June of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Golden Bears will face off against the Bison at 6:00 p.m. Bishop Garrigan has given up an average of 11.2 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Bishop Garrigan had been on a three-game streak of scoring at least ten runs, but North Union put an end to it on Friday. The Golden Bears lost 16-1 to the Warriors. The match marked the Golden Bears' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for North Iowa's offense. They fell 4-0 to Belmond-Klemme on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Bison in their meetings with the Broncos: they've now lost five in a row.

North Iowa now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Bishop Garrigan, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-2 record.
