Basketball Recap: Pleasantville Takes a Loss

Pleasantville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 49-13 loss at the hands of the Van Meter Bulldogs. The match marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Pleasantville's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Van Meter, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pleasantville will square off against Woodward-Granger at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Van Meter has already played their next contest (against West Central Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
