Allatoona came tearing into Friday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Cartersville Hurricanes with a sharp 73-53 win. The Buccaneers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 20 points or more this season.

When it comes to explaining why Cartersville lost, don't look at Nas Bennett. Despite the final result, he went 7 for 15 en route to 22 points and seven boards. Bennett's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kyron McClendon, who posted eight points and six rebounds.

Allatoona is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.4 points per game. As for Cartersville, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-10.
