Monroe Area kept a clean sheet against Oglethorpe County on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 4-0 margin over the Patriots. That four-goal margin sets a new team best for Monroe Area this season.

They hit Oglethorpe County with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Trevorious Ransfer (2), Sebastian Figueroa, and Yair Mendez.

The victory (which was Monroe Area's third in a row) raised their record to 4-1-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those three matchups. As for Oglethorpe County, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Monroe Area will challenge Trinity Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Oglethorpe County, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Providence Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on March 6.
