Basketball Recap: Pendleton's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

Pendleton's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They took down the East Jackson Eagles 61-43. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Bulldogs as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pendleton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Garon Blalock, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 boards. Another player making a difference was Samuel Ross, who went 6 of 14 en route to 15 points and four steals.

Pendleton's victory bumped their record up to 2-7. As for East Jackson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-7.

Pendleton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 65-35 defeat against Madison County on the 21st. As for East Jackson, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 74-57 loss against Richmond Hill on the 21st.
