Rockland has gone 8-2 against Mackay recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Rockland Bulldogs will face off against the Mackay Miners at 8:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Rockland comes in on three and Mackay on eight.

Last Saturday, Rockland didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Leadore, but they still walked away with a 37-31 victory.

Rockland's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Harmony Boyer, who posted 11 points and seven steals. That's the most points Boyer has posted since back in November of 2024. Calyn Permann was another key player, putting up eight points along with eight rebounds and four steals.

Rockland smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Leadore only pulled down five offensive boards.

Challis typically has all the answers at home, but on Saturday Mackay proved too difficult a challenge. They had just enough and edged the Vikings out 48-45. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Miners have posted since January 5, 2024.

Rockland's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-5. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.6 points over those games. As for Mackay, their win bumped their record up to 15-8.

Rockland strolled past Mackay in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 by a score of 45-31. The rematch might be a little tougher for Rockland since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
