Phoenix Day School for the Deaf takes loss despite strong efforts from Donovan Etheridge and Anthony Flores

The Phoenix Day School for the Deaf Roadrunners pushed their score all the way to 60 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 67-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mayer. Phoenix Day School for the Deaf has struggled against Mayer recently, as their matchup on Thursday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Phoenix Day School for the Deaf's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Anthony Flores, who scored 15 points along with seven assists and four steals, and Donovan Etheridge who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Etheridge has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kotu Salih, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds.

Phoenix Day School for the Deaf's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Mayer, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 1-4.

Phoenix Day School for the Deaf will take on Lincoln Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mayer, they will take on Salome at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Salome comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
