Soccer Recap: Harrison Wins High-Profile Contest Against Walton

On Tuesday, Harrison faced Walton in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Harrison Hoyas' defense stepped up to hand the Walton Raiders a 1-0 shutout. The Hoyas wouldn't have won without Sarah Houston, who scored the game-winner.

Harrison has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. Having lost for the first time this season, Walton fell to 7-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harrison will host Dunwoody at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Dunwoody will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Harrison surely won't give up without a fight. As for Walton, they will welcome Cherokee at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Walton's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Cherokee's offense will have their work cut out for them.
