Softball Game Preview: Northwest Rankin Cougars vs. Hernando Tigers

For the second straight game, Northwest Rankin will face off against Hernando. The Cougars will take on the Tigers at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. Northwest Rankin will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.

Northwest Rankin is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They walked away with an 8-3 victory over Hernando.

Bella Pierce looked comfortable as she pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Sybil Glover was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooke Smith, who went 2-for-3 with three runs.

Northwest Rankin's win bumped their record up to 32-4. As for Hernando, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 33-3 record.
