Baseball Recap: Cloudland Comes Up Short

Cloudland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 11-3 to the University School Buccaneers. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Buccaneers this season, with their most recent defeat being a 24-0 loss back in March.

Cloudland saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colin Davis, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Cloudland's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for University School, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cloudland will welcome Johnson County at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Highlanders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Longhorns have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season. As for University School, they will host Unaka at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
