Mountain View owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Vista Grande Spartans with a sharp 7-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Mountain Lions, who have now won 13 games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Arianna Figueroa made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 14 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two triples, one run, and one RBI.
