Football Recap: Weleetka Starts Season with Victory Against Waurika + How To Watch

Weleetka had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They breezed past the Waurika Eagles to the tune of 52-6. The Outlaws are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 15 straight dating back to last season.

Weleetka had a senior duo take command as Bryant Sites gained 241 total yards and two touchdowns and Isaiah Drake threw for 231 yards and two touchdowns while completing 84.6% of his passes. Drake didn't just play on offense: he also picked up a sack and made six total tackles (3.0 for loss). Noah Hare got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Weleetka will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Davenport at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Waurika, they will welcome Temple at 7:00 a.m. on Friday.
