Baseball Game Preview: Okemos Chiefs vs. Lakeland Eagles

The Okemos Chiefs will challenge the Lakeland Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Okemos 2.4, Lakeland 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Okemos is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Northville just ended the team's 11-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 4-1 to the Mustangs. The Chiefs were red-hot at the plate heading into the contest (they scored no less than ten runs in the three games prior), but the Mustangs' pitchers proved too tough.

Meanwhile, Lakeland didn't have quite enough to beat Holly on Thursday and fell 2-1.

Lakeland's loss dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Okemos, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-3-1.
