Minisink Valley entered their tilt with Cornwall Central on Wednesday with 11 consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with 12. They blew past the Dragons 14-3. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by seven runs or more this season.

Emily Smith spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on three hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, Minisink Valley let Keira Filip and Ryin Perico run wild. Filip got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Perico got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI Filip has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Natalie Rogers, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

Minisink Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .524. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive games.

Minisink Valley's win was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-2. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Cornwall Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-11.

Coming up, Minisink Valley will host Port Jervis at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. The Warriors will need to watch out since the Raiders have now posted at least ten runs in their last nine matchups. Cornwall Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
