Volleyball Recap: Morro Bay Takes a Loss

Morro Bay lost against Nipomo back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Pirates fell just short of the Titans by a score of 3-2. The Pirates' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Morro Bay wouldn't go down easily and took Nipomo into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking seven-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-12, 26-28, 18-25, 15-8.

Morro Bay's defeat dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Nipomo, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Morro Bay will face off against rival Atascadero at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Nipomo is set to take on their familiar foe Templeton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
