Soccer Game Preview: Forest Lake Academy vs. Eustis

The Forest Lake Academy Panthers will head out on the road to square off against the Eustis Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Forest Lake Academy's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Forest Lake Academy managed to keep up with Bishop Moore until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Forest Lake Academy lost 4-0 to Bishop Moore. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 388th, while the Hornets are ranked 29th).

Meanwhile, Eustis managed to keep up with Lake Minneola until halftime on Monday, but things quickly went downhill from there. 2025 welcomed Eustis with a 5-0 loss courtesy of Lake Minneola. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Hawks recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Forest Lake Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8-2. As for Eustis, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9-1.

Forest Lake Academy beat Eustis by a goal in their previous meeting back in January of 2021, winning 1-0. Does Forest Lake Academy have another victory up their sleeve, or will Eustis turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
