Basketball Recap: Rocksprings Takes a Loss

Rocksprings saw some tournament action on Thursday. They had to suffer through an 87-29 loss at the hands of the Pearsall Mavericks.

Ayden Rodriguez had an outrageously good game for Pearsall as he shot 65% from the field on his way to 32 points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals. Those 32 points gave Rodriguez a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jeremy Rodriguez, who went 6-for-13 to rack up 15 points and eight steals.

Rocksprings' defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Pearsall, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Rocksprings has already played their next matchup (against San Antonio Memorial), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Pearsall, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 51-46 victory against Southside on the 20th.
