Recap: Troup County Tigers vs. LaFayette Bulldogs
The Troup County Tigers were the 66-39 winner over the LaFayette Bulldogs when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. Troup County fell just short of LaFayette by a score of 53-50. Troup County has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
LaFayette's win on Tuesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Vaderrian Story, who scored 16 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 assists. That makes it two consecutive games in which Story has scored at least 25% of LaFayette's points. Another player making a difference was Branaviyun Story, who scored 8 points along with 16 rebounds.
Troup County's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for LaFayette, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Troup County will head out on the road to face off against Fayette County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for LaFayette, they will be playing at home against Trinity Presbyterian at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. Trinity Presbyterian has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 335 points over their last five matches.
