Recap: Riverside Rangers vs. Monahans Loboes
The Riverside Rangers waltzed into their match Saturday with 16 straight wins but they left with 17. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Monahans 50-15 on the road. Riverside might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won 12 matches by 21 points or more this season.
Riverside got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Yazmin Rios out in front who scored ten points along with six rebounds and four steals. Rios is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Aj Alvarado, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.
Riverside's win bumped their record up to 19-1. As for Monahans, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14.
Riverside will be playing at home against Centennial at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Centennial is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Monahans, they will head out on the road to face off against Sweetwater at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Sweetwater is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
