Basketball Game Preview: Lacey Township Lions vs. Central Regional Golden Eagles

Lacey Township hasn't had much luck against Central Regional recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Lacey Township Lions will welcome the Central Regional Golden Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Lacey Township will be strutting in after a win while Central Regional will be coming in after a defeat.

Lacey Township is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They walked away with a 46-34 victory over Point Pleasant Beach on Friday.

Meanwhile, Central Regional was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 47-42 heartbreaker at the hands of Manchester Township.

Central Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Lacey Township, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Lacey Township couldn't quite finish off Central Regional in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 and fell 35-33. Can Lacey Township avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
