Softball Recap: Greater Lowell Tech Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Greater Lowell Tech's offense. They fell just short of the Greater Lawrence Tech Reggies by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Gryphons' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Greater Lowell Tech saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Morgan Haskell, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Greater Lowell Tech's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 8-4. As for Greater Lawrence Tech, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Greater Lowell Tech will challenge Northeast Metro RVT at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Greater Lawrence Tech, they will venture away from home to face off against Triton Regional at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday.
