Softball Recap: Coronado Comes Up Short

Coronado was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Lubbock-Cooper Pirates, falling 16-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-1 back in March.

Coronado's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Lubbock-Cooper, the victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 19-4.

Looking ahead, Coronado will look to defend their home field on Friday against Palo Duro at 6:30 p.m. The Mustangs are facing the Dons at the right time seeing as the Dons are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Lubbock-Cooper, they will head out to face off against Plainview at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
