Volleyball Recap: Mira Mesa Takes a Loss

Mira Mesa lost against Central back in August of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Marauders fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 2-1.

Kanaiya Parham paced Mira Mesa's offense, picking up five kills. Parham got some help from Sabrina Sampson and her nine assists. Kalilea Popperwill and Ivanna Nguyen kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Mira Mesa's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Central, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4.

Mira Mesa didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Olympian on the 30th. As for Central, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Otay Ranch on the 30th.
