Baseball Recap: Handley Judges vs. Brentsville District Tigers
Handley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Brentsville District Tigers, falling 11-1. If the Judges were looking for revenge after losing 8-1 to the Tigers when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Handley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Charlie Allen, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases. Rutledge Patterson also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Handley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Brentsville District, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-3.
We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Handley will face off against rival James Wood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Brentsville District is set to challenge their familiar foe Meridian at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
