Wakefield entered their tilt with Wake Forest on Friday with eight consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with nine. They blew past the Wake Forest Cougars, posting a 64-34 win. The Wolverines have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 21 points or more this season.

Maddison McIntyre had an outrageously good game as she went 6-for-8 to rack up 17 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. What's more, she also posted a 75% field goal percentage, which is the highest she's achieved since back in January of 2024. Nicole Amend was another key player, putting up seven points.

Wakefield smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in three consecutive contests.

Despite the loss, Wake Forest still got an impressive performance from Jordyn Williams, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 14 boards. Williams has been hot, having posted eight or more rebounds the last six times she's played.

Wakefield pushed their record up to 17-3 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points over those games. As for Wake Forest, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-13.
