Baseball Recap: Edgemont Triumphs

Edgemont took a eight-run loss the last time they faced off against Rye Neck, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Edgemont sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 victory over Rye Neck on Wednesday. That's two games straight that Edgemont has won by exactly two runs.

The team relied heavily on Liam Fenster, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.

Edgemont pushed their record up to 6-14 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Rye Neck, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-15.
