Floydada's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Quanah Indians as they made off with an 18-8 win. The Whirlwinds' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Adrian Martinez was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. The Broncos have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.33 runs per game on average), something the Indians will no doubt try to take advantage of.
