Volleyball Recap: Viburnum Comes Up Short

Viburnum was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Steelville Cardinals. Blue Jays fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Cardinals since Monday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 23-25, 25-13, 25-19.

Player #20 paced Viburnum's offense, picking up eight kills. Player #20 got some help from Player #14 and her six assists. Jadelyn Barton controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Viburnum's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Steelville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-5-2.

Viburnum didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Cuba on the 7th. As for Steelville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Dixon on the 8th.
