Basketball Recap: Carrington Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Valley City

On Friday, Carrington faced Valley City in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Carrington Cardinals fell 54-44 to the Valley City Hi-Liners. The Cardinals just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Carrington's loss dropped their record down to 15-5. As for Valley City, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season.

Coming up, Carrington will square off against Four Winds/Minnewaukan at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Valley City does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
