Basketball Game Preview: Chassell Panthers vs. Lake Linden-Hubbell Lakes

The Chassell Panthers will head out to take on the Lake Linden-Hubbell Lakes at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 87-46, which was the final score in Chassell's tilt against Dollar Bay on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 677th, while the Bays are ranked 204th).

Meanwhile, Lake Linden-Hubbell lost to Jeffers on the road by a 59-40 margin on Tuesday.

Chassell has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season. As for Lake Linden-Hubbell, their loss dropped their record down to 1-16.

Chassell won a match that couldn't have been any closer in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, slipping by Lake Linden-Hubbell 60-59. The rematch might be a little tougher for Chassell since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
