Basketball Game Preview: Silo Rebels vs. Tishomingo Indians

Silo and Tishomingo are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2015, but not for long. The Silo Rebels will head out on the road to square off against the Tishomingo Indians at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Silo will be strutting in after a victory while Tishomingo will be coming in after a loss.

Last Tuesday, Silo strolled past Atoka with points to spare, taking the game 68-53. Given the Rebels' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 187th, while the Wampus Cats are ranked 432nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Tishomingo was beaten by Valliant 74-39 on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now lost three in a row.

Tishomingo's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Silo, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Everything came up roses for Silo against Tishomingo in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, as the team secured a 66-39 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Silo since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
