The Waterford Wolverines will head out on the road to face off against the Westosha Central Falcons at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Westosha Central will be up against a hot Waterford squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Wolverines' pitcher stepped up to hand Badger a 6-0 shutout on Tuesday.

Jaydin Kiser was a major factor no matter where she played. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 15 over seven innings pitched. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 6.8 strikeouts per game. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
Kiser wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Cailyn Kysely, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Kendall Evjen also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Westosha Central). They put the hurt on Wilmot with a sharp 15-3 win on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.
Like Waterford, Westosha Central also got a great game from a two-way player: Megan Lampos. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Lampos has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Westosha Central got a massive performance out of Mykenna Sturino, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Those four hits gave Sturino a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Abby Plapp, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI.
Westosha Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .576. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Waterford's record now sits at 6-8. As for Westosha Central, their record is now 9-7.
Wednesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Waterford hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .337. However, it's not like Westosha Central struggles in that department as they've averaged .321. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Waterford might still be hurting after the 9-0 defeat they got from Westosha Central in their previous matchup last Tuesday. Can the Wolverines avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
