Recap: Hingham Harbormen vs. Plymouth South Panthers
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Hingham Harbormen can now relate to. They suffered a tough 42-21 loss at the hands of Plymouth South on Thursday. Hingham just can't catch a break and has now endured three losses in a row.
Plymouth South's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Justin LaChance, who rushed for 71 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 78 receiving yards. LaChance's longest reception was for an incredible 78 yards. Gio Lynch-ruberio was another key contributor, rushing for 88 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries.
Hingham has yet to win a match at home this season, leaving them with a 3-6 record. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 16.0 points per game. As for Plymouth South, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Hingham will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on Scituate at 10:00 a.m. on November 23rd. Plymouth South will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Plymouth North at 10:00 a.m. on November 23rd.
