Volleyball Recap: Smithtown West Continues Home Dominance on Friday

Smithtown West and Smithtown East faced off in a cross-town battle on Friday. Smithtown West skirted past Smithtown East 3-2. This was a revenge game for Smithtown West: when they faced off against Smithtown East on September 6th, they had to take a 2-0 defeat.

Smithtown West took Smithtown East into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. The final score came out to 25-17, 19-25, 14-25, 25-22, 15-9.

Taylor Marsh paced Smithtown West's offense, picking up 22 kills. Marsh got some help from Kalia Wheeler and her 43 assists. Marsh was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

When it comes to explaining why Smithtown East lost, don't look at Lily Sullivan. Despite the final result, she had 19 digs and four assists.
