Volleyball Recap: Edison Extends Winning Streak to Two

Edison lost to Sanger West on April 10th, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Tigers beat the Hornets by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Edison had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 25-17, 25-23, 25-20.

Sanger West's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Maximus Inboon, who had 20 digs and two assists. Inboon has been hot, having posted 13 or more digs the last seven times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jayden Vang, who had three digs and two aces.

Edison's record now sits at 24-7. As for Sanger West, they moved to 23-13 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coming up, Edison will be playing at home against Justin Garza at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sanger West, they will head out on the road to face off against Madera at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Hornets are facing the Coyotes at the right time seeing as the Coyotes are stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
