Basketball Recap: Maypearl Takes a Loss

Maypearl saw some tournament action on Thursday. They took a 71-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bullard Panthers. While losing is never fun, Maypearl can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1318th, while Bullard is ranked 248th).

Maypearl has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season. As for Bullard, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-2.

Maypearl didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 72-47 defeat against Brewer on the 12th. Bullard has also already played their next contest, a 67-56 win against Fairfield on the 12th.
