Softball Recap: Wayne Comes Up Short

Wayne lost to Centerville back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Warriors fell 7-3 to the Elks.

Ivy Barbour and Alanna Myers stepped up to the plate in a big way. Barbour went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double, while Myers went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Wayne's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Centerville, they pushed their record up to 12-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

While Wayne had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
