Softball Recap: Murphy Bulldogs vs. Robbinsville Black Knights

Murphy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 12-6 to the Robbinsville Black Knights. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Murphy of the 11-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture on Wednesday.

Aiden Smith made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Hensley, who went 2-for-4 with a stolen base, two RBI, and a double.

On Robbinsville's side, the team relied heavily on Zoie (Z) Shuler, who scored four runs and stole three bases while going 4-for-4. Shuler has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Sydney (Nimrod:) Adams, who scored three runs while going 2-for-2.

Murphy's loss dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Robbinsville, the win was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-2.

As of now, neither Murphy nor Robbinsville have any future games scheduled.
