Basketball Recap: Rosman's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

Owen came into Friday's contest looking for another win against Rosman, but Aniya Swartz wouldn't allow it. The Rosman Tigers secured a 48-43 W over the Owen Warhorses on Friday thanks in part to Swartz, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 boards. Those 13 rebounds gave her a new career-high.

Owen lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Elly Wright, who posted 13 points and six steals. Savannah Hollingsworth was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and ten boards.

The win snapped Rosman's losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 6-12 record. As for Owen, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-18.

Rosman has already played their next matchup, a 68-29 defeat against Draughn on the 4th. As for Owen, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 53-15 victory against NCSSM: Morganton on the 4th.
